Top 5 SS Prospects Season 9

Top 5 SS Prospects

Colorado’s Perry Hernandez is the new #1 shortstop prospect in Second City. Drafted last season out of Aquinas HS in Wisconsin, Hernandez projects as an all around stud. In 63 Rookie League games last season, he hit .402 with 13 HR and 14 SB’s.

Last season’s #1 prospect, Alan Pall, has been promoted the majors by Scranton and moved to CF. Look for Pall to make a strong case for Rookie of the Year. In other news, former #3 SS prospect Juan Macias has retired after failing to be promoted by St. Louis (now Albuquerque) out of the Rookie League after 2 seasons, despite hitting .418 over 2 seasons and projecting to be an 89 overall player.
